Fantastic food and drinks. Our Server was laid back and very informative of the menu. Will go back next time I'm in town.

Embers ruined my reception. After months of research we decided to have our small reception at Embers in Gainesville following the wedding at the Botanical Gardens... unfortunately it turned out to be the most stressful and disappointing experience we’ve had. I made a reservation for 10 guests in person 3 months in advance. When we made the reservation they only asked for my name and the total guest count. I informed them the count may change as people RSVP and they simply said to call them and give them an update at least a week before the event. I called about a month before my wedding and change the reservation to 18 guest, they asked me for my credit card and informed me that they should’ve secure the credit card the first time because of the amount of people. I gave them all my information including the credit card and asked them to repeat the information to me and everything was correct, they even said they could probably sit us in a little room by ourselves but they had to wait until that day. A week before the wedding I called and they said they did not have the guest count on the book and due to the party size they could only sit us at 5 pm, an hour and a half before my original reservation time. They also informed me that the entire group had to be there to be seated at five or we would lose the reservation. Because of their screwup I had to change the hours off my wedding and my photographer which cost me more and call the entire family to make new plans. After my wedding everybody headed to the restaurant just to find out that we did not have a reservation at all. My family called me to give me the great news. After multiple phone calls and communications with different people at that restaurant they said they were going to prepare a table for us. Are you trying to tell me that you had space available for us but decided to argue with us and make us all wait at the entrance instead of seating us? Even though the room was almost empty they gave us a long booth against the wall so every time somebody had to go to the bathroom everybody had to get up. I thought this was the end of it however they assign only two servers. Another 20 minutes passed and then they took the drink order. An hour and a half later I called the servers over because we did not even have bread on the table. When I asked the server simply said he was allowing us to have time to drink. Another 20 minutes to get the bread. I had to ask again for them to take the food order. Almost 2 1/2 hrs after arriving we started to get our food but only on half of the table. Some of our guest had to leave early because it took so long at the restaurant and they did not even eat dessert. I Ordered a crème brûlée to go and when I opened it I did not recognize what was in that box. It looks like the spooned the crème brûlée from the original container into the box and looked like somebody threw up in the box... Needless to say I could not eat it. It was the most stressful, disappointing and expensive experience of my life.... you ruined my wedding dinner. Unfortunately all my guest remember from that night was the horrible experience and when we talk about our wedding that is the first thing that comes up. Even though we received horrible service we still left a very good tip for the servers. Over $800 total on both tickets for dinner and I guess we did not even deserve an apology from the manager because he / she Did not come to our table to even acknowledge that they made a mistake or to check on us. Then I get home and find out they charged us for 2 extra desserts... Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed, the only positive of the night was the food, as always it was delicious. My company host the award dinners multiple times a year at Embers in Orlando, after this experience I am making sure that they look for other restaurants to host our event. We have decided to do our Christmas celebration for 55 guests at BB Kings this year. Even though the Gainesville restaurant is the one that let us down We will not return to any of your locations.

I've eaten at some of the best steak restaurants around, including Burns and The Forge. The food at Embers can go to to toe with any of them. I've had the 22 oz porterhouse, 10 oz fillet and the Chilean sea bass and they were some of the best I have ever had. For the price, you can't get better food.

Great food and staff! Steak has been undercooked a couple of times which is ironic since it’s a steakhouse but other than that it’s been pretty close to perfect every time.

Been to Embers many times. Always an excellent meal with great service. One of the more expensive places in town, but worth it for the quality of food, service and ambiance. Don't let the location next to a tanning salon fool you. My go-to for a nice night out.
