Wanted to get my mom an early birthday bouquet only to get nothing but a disappointment from this "business". The first mistake I made was to use Ava's Flowers for a timely delivery. The mistake Ava's flowers made was to use the Gainesville Floral Exchange to make the arrangement. The delivery was on time but thrown together with wilted flowers and not even anything like the arrangement I ordered. When I called the Gainesville Floral Shop to figure out how we could solve this issue I received nothing but an extremely rude and unprofessional "oh well" of an explanation. Stay away from this shop. They either need new management & work ethic or to close their doors permanently.
My husband ordered flowers the morning of our anniversary to be delivered to me at work. I get off work at 4:30 every day. The flowers showed up at 4:45pm (per the girls that were still at my job). My husbands surprise was ruined. They could have at least called him to let him know they wouldn't be delivered til very late that afternoon so he could have cancelled & used a different florist that would have had the flowers delivered in a timely manner. Especially since the address & name to be delivered to is an office - you would think they would know to deliver items well before 5pm.
The arrangement on the left (at least it shows up on the left on my computer) is what I ordered. The one on the right is what my friend received. Either way they appear on the screen, you can clearly see what I ordered and what was delivered. I don't know when florists are going to realize that people take pictures and send them to the person to say thank you. Do they really think we are not going to see what was delivered? I ordered through Teleflora so I did not choose this florist myself. Teleflora's customer service was excellent. But Gainesville Floral Exchange is not a florist I would call directly in the future, nor would I recommend them.
I ordered an arrangement for my girlfriend and the arrangement on the website was very beautiful. The arrangement she received was not. It looked nothing like the website aside from the one rose in the arrangement and smelled like cigarettes.
My boyfriend sent me flowers with a teddy bear attached and it was so gross and smelt of cigarette smoke. I called and asked to speak with the manager and I never got a sorry, nothing. They said they would send another arrangement out same day. Which is nice but I think the fact that you didn't even apologize or sound empathetic AT ALL shows a lot about the place of business.. not to mention the fact they only have 1.7 star review at this time. Very disappointed, I can't even enjoy something he meant to brighten my day because I can't even stand it being at my desk at work.
