An excellent learning opportunity, and it was free. What a way to give back to the community.
The hands on children's area is great. Kids will do well here and most areas of the mueseum.
This museum is outstanding. The exhibits are top notch and very inviting for interaction. Don't miss the butterfly garden!!!
I love bringing my son here. They added more excited and made a discovery center for the kids to explore and discover things on their own.
The breadth and depth of artifacts and snippets are truly worth the time for young and old
This is a world class natural history museum. A great exhibit on Florida's indigenous peoples, marine biology, butterflies, etc. Access to the museum is free; however, "specialty" exhibits have a cost (butterfly rainforest).
It's ok. The exhibits are not very interactive for young children, and when they have special, short term exhibits, they charge quite a bit. You also have to pay for access to the butterfly garden. Permanent exhibits (except the butterfly garden) are free with a donation box in the front of the museum. For handicapped patrons, there is no need to worry about an accessible elevator since all public areas are on the ground floor.
