Awesome selection of organic foods. While it is smaller than a Whole Foods, that is a good thing. It provides a more intimate environment while still having a comparable selection of items. The beer selection and meat offerings are great, as well as snack s and spices. Prices seem to be a little better as well.
Earth Fare's selection as advertised is clean and healthy. However, where the rubber meets the road the ratio of organic to conventionally produced products is only slightly better than average. Several products are in my estimation either food rendered unhealthy.due to processing or non-food presented as food. The regular prices are a bit above other area stores on many items so i comparison shop, if this an issue for you. They do have sales items everyday and BOGO weekends every so often so you may want to become a rewards member and or install their phone app to receive notifications.
Healthy food, great organic produce, wonderful daily deals, fresh sushi and cook at home pizza. They carry wonderful, clean, meat ad chicken. The big deal - I know every item had been reviewed - I don't have to read labels constantly.
This Earth Fare is in a good location if you hate the chaos of butler plaza. The store is small and reminds me of a Trader Joe's, but with better vegetarian/vegan friendly options. They have a good salad bar, decent pizza, and some of the best soups I've had. The smoothies aren't overly iced, which offers a better flavor and taste. The staff is almost always in a friendly and good mood also, which says a lot about the store.
I was really excited when I heard that a new option for veg-friendly grocery shopping had come to Gainesville. I've visited twice now and their selection is unimpressive and their prices are incredibly high. If I wanted to pay an arm and a leg for groceries, I'd go to Fresh Market where at least the products are high-end.
