Most of this information about what they take and don't isn't even posted online as far as quality is concerned- which I have checked their website.
I Will think twice before spending my money there again when online is so much easier to track without the problem of human laziness.
The service staff are fairly incompetent in looking up orders.
My curse: may they be consumed by America's materialism and buy buy buy yet be hard pressed to sell anything.
Katherine just turned a really bad experience into a tolerable one. Like she really and truly made me feel like my service was appreciated and welcomed. She needs a raise!
I continued to trade in more things with them as I've slowly been going through old stuff of mine seeing as I'm coming of age. Though still low balled. I'm talking pennies- 10 to 15 cents a book which they later would sell my books at dollars, like 5. For paper that's a big jump and evidence of their scalping.
A good used book store, however my main interest is in used comic book trades and hardcovers, and they literally never have new stock of used books. I used to stop by here almost daily because new trades/hardcovers would show up from people trading them in, but now there is almost never anything new. They do stock newly released books, but I can get those anywhere, I'm looking for used books that have been traded in. Maybe the trade in rate is so low that no one wants to sell them their books anymore? Rarely go here now because it's always the same stock.
There books which were used though of decent quality were again over priced.
I've been trading in my stuff and buying since this place opened. What once was a place I blessed has turned to one I cursed.
Used books/cds/dvds/games available at fair prices as well as my former cohort's used iPod.
I'd give them less than a star but google won't let me.
To start- they low balled me on a nice stack of books I traded in. Classics which were in great shape.
The final straw: I asked to trade in my game station and they refused it because of a little battery acid on the terminals of the controller and some dust since it's sat in my closet and because they don't take them without controllers. Thanks for making me pay the gas money you greedy pawn shop. The irony- the equipment works great so it's their loss of at least a 50-60$ value.
