Traveled from Tampa to Atlanta with a new bike rack that was shifting a bit. Stopped to ask for help. They took a look, tightened some straps and sent us on our way feeling much more secure for the rest of our trip. GREAT customer service. Highly recommend this business.
Martin and Austin and the other staff are so knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The shop has a full selection of bikes, bike accessories, and bike clothes. My favorite bike shop in Gainesville, and I visited a few when buying my mountain bike (eventually bought from them).
In November 2017 I worked with Austin at Super Cool Bike Shop to purchase a new Specialized bike tailor-made to my height, the type of riding that I do, and my overall abilities as a rider. I want to add, also, that for a year or two prior to buying my new bicycle, I took my former old Huffy to SCBS for occasional repairs. I wish to encourage ALL older riders like me (I am 58) who are considering a bicycle purchase, or who need repairs, to go to SCBS. These guys are wonderful, and I can't say enough about how pleased I have been as their customer. They listen to me, answer all of my questions, and no one "looks down" on me because I'm not some "hot shot" rider who wears Spandex and rides hundreds of miles a week (nothing wrong with that!) :-) I love, love, love my new bright red easy step-through Specialized bike with its 7 speeds. It glides like nobody's business, and has made my commute to and from work so enjoyable. Super Cool Bike Shop is awesome!
This has been my go to bike shop for years. Martin has helped me pick out all my bikes, and has been extremely helpful when I ran into any problems down the line. I trust Martin more than any other bike mechanic in town. He is very knowledgeable about high end bikes, and will set up everything right. This is my go to bike shop even when I am out of state
So I decided to buy a Specialized Rockhopper and went to this bike shop. The first gent I spoke to was very helpful in explaining what features I should be considering. He educated me on the value of better components. As a result, I stepped up to a better model, and am delighted with my new bike. The shifter needs a minor adjustment, and they said bring it in and they will tweak it on the spot. The Mechanic even remembered my name. Pretty Super Cool if you ask me!
