I have bought two good guitars from this store. One an in-store acoustic/electric and the other was an on-line solid-body electric. The acoustic was heavily discounted because of a cracked binding. It had broken electronics that I didn't discover until after leaving the store. The electric was gently used and shipped from out of state. It arrived with a missing case. On both occasions the manager, staff and a cloud contact couldn't have been more helpful. On the acoustic, the store's technician (Daniel?) professionally replaced the broken electronics with an upgrade that I provided. This replacement was made at no charge. The missing case finally arrived with a broken hinge and they offered to swap it out too. The vibe in this store reminds me sometimes... and I emphasize sometimes... of the old Lillian's. Impromptu concerts on drums, keyboards and guitars by customers will blow your mind and at other times just irritate you... just like Lillian's back in the day. Depending on the moon phase, you can be a fly on the wall and hear Gainesville's best and worst musicians or join in and add to the cacophony. Watch out though, you just might pick up a guitar you can't live without...
I've been here numerous times and enjoyed my experience. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. It's been fun to try out new instruments and just check out the inventory. The place is clean and spacious.
Fast forward late 2017... I will never have another guitar setup done here. Adjustments were amateurish at best and destructive at worst. Took me several weeks of my own time, tools and parts to repair the 'setup' made by this store. However, I still enjoy the inventory and groove'n with the clientele.
Awesome place and i got such good help finding what i needed, the people here knew just what i needed and was really knowledgeable about there stuff :)
Stock could be better. Generally helpful staff. God bless those poor souls who have to listen to teens djent all day.
This is my third visit to this location and the third time Ive wanted help and no one has approached me and asked if I needed any help. There were at least 5 workers present and available. I ended up leaving without purchasing anything. If a store doesnt have active and friendly help, Im not going to purchase from that location.
