Our experiences with this facility and staff over the past four years have been nothing short of amazing! Between the care we've received at both the fertility floor and women's health, we are truly grateful. The staff has always treated us like family, the facilities are absolutely immaculate, and we have never endured long wait times. Our doctor (Roussos-Ross) is second to none! Her knowledge and guidance have been exponentially important during both emotional and joyous times. We are forever endebted to her for the compassion, love, and truly heartfelt care she has shown us throughout the birth of our two children. We will continue to highly recommend this office to friends and family.
Horrible. I found a bunch of reviews of this Health Center on another review site. Each describing it as is impersonal and unprofessional. I wish I had read those prior to starting to see my mid-wife here (Libby King). The staff talks EXTREMELY loud in the hallways about other patients--no health privacy laws here. The staff is super impersonal here. Listening to the patient concerns? Nope, not here. I was concerned about the Zika virus and a dedication I was taking. The Zika virus they brushed off without even answering my concerns. As for the medication, they said something along the lines of "Well, if there was any damage done to your baby it would have been done already (I was 20 weeks pregnant at the time)." I dread coming here.
Lastly, they told me that I could "easily change doctors anytime" and that is the biggest lie. Be warned. I called after my second appointment to switch but their policy is in fact "only one switch with good reason" and they didn't exactly get back to me promptly. So not only do they not really assist in finding a good match for you from a medical perspective (when I asked who to see they said they cannot recommend anyone specifically in their practice) you also cannot switch easily (or at all if it is your second time requesting it).
I'm a man, husband, and brand spanking new father, so I'm not coming from the same perspective as the majority of the patients. But I'm honestly bewildered as to the negative opinions. Both my wife and I are completely overwhelmed how wonderful the staff and facilities are. Everyone was so nice and so caring. I highly recommend coming here. Again, this is coming from a man, but I came to every one of my wife's appointments with her and everyone was just great.
In addition, the staff also lacks training in professionalism/bedside manner/privacy. As I would wait for my appointment, I would hear the staff talking very loudly about a patient that just left. Always, a lot of gossip at the nurses station that I didn't really want to listen to and made me question what they discussed about me once I left.
The nursing staff is very nice. The doctors and midwives are something to be desired.
I would agree with the previous reviews saying that this place is impersonal and unprofessional. I came here with the OBGYN care (Libby King) and felt the training of the staff lacking and outdated. They seem to be shelling out the same, old tired ideas about pregnancy from 20 years ago. Not exactly the care I expected from UF health system. Albeit, it could be just the Springhill clinic or Libby King (who I saw). They don't really value the opinion or wants of the patient. You're just a walking statistic (and usually an incorrect statistic).
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! Go someplace where they have a shred of bed side manner and concern for patient needs.
I think a lot of the problems could be ameliorated by improved training of staff or forced retirements. Really, if you're not willing to keep up with the field then you shouldn't be practicing medicine anymore.
I was told by my primary care physician to get a gynecologist to perform my yearly Pap smear's rather than using her. I tried to do this but was unable to connect with a doctor because of the receptionist. She said that I had to have a reason to come before she could give me an appointment.
AVOID!!
I would avoid this place at all costs. I ultimately wish I went somewhere else but by the time came to that conclusion, I was already going to this clinic for several months into my pregnancy.
