I would put negative stars if possible but it wasn't an option! I have rented cars on four continents and have never experienced anything like this last trip. I was told my upgrade would be 30.00 total and was charged 46.00 a day! Total rental cost was 230.00, upgrade charge was 270.00. That was a pure scam! Guy knew exactly what he was doing. Never once mentioned per day. Also tried to extended the rental for two hours, 165.00! Thanks for being so accommodating! And the worst part is trying to discuss this with anyone at Alamo. 9 hours so far and no call back. Zero record of previous conversations when you talk to someone else. Alright I got had, my bad. Never again by you guys or anyone i know if i can help it!
No car was available at the requested pick up time and was asked to wait. A 4WD pickup became available and was offered the vehicle or I could wait longer. Needing to be in Orlando, FL for a meeting I accepted their offered. When I returned the vehicle I complained about the among of fuel used was at least twice as much as a car. The agent said he would give me a discount on the rental because of the excessive field used. I never recieved that discount. Not happy with Alamo. Don't promise if your not going to deliver.
The guy at the counter was super helpful and attentive to my needs. We had to upgrade b/c the luggage didn't fit. Easiest part of the trip
I love Alamo...they are the only ones I'll rent from they're always polite and make sure you get the car that always fit your height et n or needs
I showed up a few minutes late for my 8 pm reservation and was told by an uncaring agent (didn't get his name) that their office closed at 8 pm for New Years day, shrugged at me, and told me to come back in the morning. I came back the next day and spoke to a different agent, who I believe is named Kadeem. He apologized and said their office should have informed me that they'd be closing early and had me make an earlier reservation. He helped compensate me by letting me return the car without a full tank. I'm glad he was able to help, he changed what would have been a negative review to a positive one!
