Nice people.. but when I you say I can not drive the vehicle they should address that as an Emerald Club member, I should have been able to pick a car. I got a Nissan Armada which is a very large full size SUV. I can hardly climb into due to bad knees. I immediately went back in and told them, was told that's all they had. Really when there were cars in all the slots? Then I called customer service, they told me to go to a different location, I did they told me they didn't have anything. I spoke to CS again with no results. I am NOT happy and my rental is for 3 weeks.
As a member, I can directly choose a car in the parking lot with keys in the car. When I get out the parking garage while driving the car, paperwork was conducted in less than one minutes. That was a great pickup car experience
As an Emerald Club member, I was able to secure a Cadillac XTS and the car itself was a great ride. My only complaint was the car smelled of cigarette smoke I presume from the previous renter. This complaint was made known to the assistant manager.
The vehicle, the check in and performance of the car were excellent. However I had / have an issue of being charged TAX although I presented a TAX EXEMPT number and made the reservation from our corporate account and YET, 3 days later no response from the the local office and the response from the National office is that 'they can't remove tax' it has to be the local office. Sounds like there could be more cohesiveness between the two entities and not make the customer make 4-5 calls to get something fixed they should have done at first.
I rent several cars from National every year. This location at the Gainesville Airport has the nicest, friendliest employees. I can go in the morning or at night and I am still met with the best customer service. And talk about going above and beyond, they do everything they can (within reason of course) to have me leave with the car I need.
