Multiple instances of front desk staff not asking if someone is a existing patient or new, and availability of time slots due to this confusion, can also lead to slow scheduling.
Overall, its great when you get in to see the doc, just can take awhile for everything to fall into place.
I've had only positive experiences at Reliant Family Practice. Dr. Schabert is knowledgeable and open-minded. He has a great respect for medical research but will not brush off your experience just because it's not something he's read in the literature (I've known other doctors that will do this). He prefers natural methods to move the body into a state of greater health, rather than relying on pharmaceuticals. I think Dr. Schabert is a good match for those that can be pro-active about their health and don't want a quick fix or pill to feel better. I also like that this practice keeps your medical records in a cloud database that you can access.
I've been too many Dr's since my accident in 2/20/2016. Dr.Eric is the best in his field. if you have a injury,or need on going treatment. Do yourself a big favor and go see him. You won't be disappointed.
The reception desk can be slow to return calls and also has been confused in the past with the numbers listed on various places, website, medical insurance site info, etc, as for which number rings calls specific sections of the office itself.
Dr. Schabert is very helpful and knowledgeable, unfortunately the problem can be just getting in to see him.
I recently moved to the Gainesville area and was in need of a new PCP. I called the office about 3 weeks ago to schedule a new patient appointment. After giving my information, my new patient appointment was schedule for Monday, September 26th at 2pm. I even received a confirmation email for the date and time with instructions indicating to arrive 15minutes early to fill out paperwork. So I did.i arrived at 1:45pm to find that the office was closed due to lunch according to the sign on the door and that lunch was from 1:00-2:00pm. Ok...so how do you schedule a new patient to arrive when staff is at lunch and the building is closed? I waited patiently thinking, "my appointment is at 2pm," the office reopens at 2pm from lunch...ok let me wait. Well 2:00pm came and still no one arrived. I waited for about 10minutes. I called and the telephone prompt continued to say the office is closed. So I left upset and feeling anxious as my time had been wasted. I took off work to make this appointment. I called the office again at 2:20 and then again closer to 3pm and still the office was closed. How in the world does a doctors office or any business for that matter schedule someone for an appointment and 1. Does not give a reminder call (for them as well as myself clearly), 2. Set an appointment and doesn't honor it and 3. Conduct medical care in this manner???????? I am still waiting for an explanation from the office on this!
