Love it when my poboy has plenty of shrimp! Enjoyed a nice business lunch here. Friendly staff, efficient and on-point beer selection, and quality food with a southern style. Also ask for the house made hot sauce.
Just had my first experience at blue gill and LOVED it!! Went around 3pm when it was slow and got the blueberry moonshine lemonade, and the blackened grouper!! So so amazing!! The blue cheese chips were a fantastic appetizer! 5 stars will be back!
First visit and definitely a pleasant one! The fried cauliflower appetizer was definitely decadent. Light batter and browned butter that gave a very creamy delicious flavor. The dish that had me melting... Daily special, Swordfish! It was cooked with care since it retained all the moisture and freshness. The celery root puree is the stuff of dreams!, anyone that ever loved it mashed potatoes or purees would be amazed (I love all of it). And lastly, the spiced mushroom topping, I think it's a relish, was fantastic.. This is one dish that all flavors complemented each other like I hadn't had in a long time. I will definitely be coming back with my friends. Thank you for the great dinner Blue Gill!
