I don't mean to be racist in any type of way but if you're not Chinese, they will automatically assume (more than one, and at least two servers assumed this) that you're picking something up and not dining in. Also, because of this automatic assumption, I was seated last and told my food would most likely be late due to other people (two groups of Chinese people sat before I was -- one was single like myself and one was a couple).
I've gone for hot pot before, and the service was very poor, which is heartbreaking when you have a pot of yummy broth in front of you but no food to eat it with.
In addition, lunch dishes had globs of corn starch in it.
Recently we went for lunch and the service was more prompt, but it just didn't feel thoughtful. I know it's becoming more standard to charge for rice but that's like charging for water. Everyone at the table should get a bowl of rice at the start of the meal, which is not what happened. Furthermore, each bowl of rice came when the dish came out, which makes it very hard to eat family style.
Overall, I have never had an astounding experience with Gator Suyaki, which is very sad because the food is actually fairly good.

A wonderful restaurant with a diverse menu. They have classic American Chinese take out fair alongside more traditional fair and even do hot pot soup. Truly a great way place to eat especially with a large family.
We had a large family dinner here- 10 adults and 2 children. The service was prompt and helpful, the food came out quickly and everything was beyond delicious. I love the extensive menu and the large tables with the lazy susan in the middle- it makes it so easy for everyone to share their dishes. Be aware that all dishes are HUGE- easily enough to feed 2-3 adults. We will definitely return often!
Depending how I feel the next time I go to Yummy House or Yummy City (formerly Small House), I may or may not come back.
Possibly the best food I've had at a Chinese restaurant, at least for the dishes that I tend to eat (the spicy non friend foods with rice or hot pot). This place also has a nice atmosphere (decor/lighting/faint music) and a friendly wait staff
