Excellent overall experience. Dr. Johary and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. It's nice to have a dentist who you can trust to do good quality work. His staff even called to check on me the days following my procedure which made me think even more highly of them. I would recommend Dr. Johary to anyone. Thanks for the awesome experience!
Shaking my head as I read negative reviews from people who are personally calling Dr. Johary out for the way he has treated them. I chose this dentist back in 2008 when my new job's insurance didn't take my old one. So I started coming here and have never had one issue (like those in negative reviews stating). Actually, I've referred people here and what I normally say is "They are pretty good with being on-time (unlike many practices) and it's always clean! What I love most is that Dr. Johary takes his time to explain what's going on with my teeth, how to prevent or treat it and never rushes me! Thank you for always making my dentist visits easy!
Long story short I set an appointment to have the failed filling repaired and they had to cancel and reschedule both of my following appointments within an hour of the appointment. The second reschedule I was very unhappy and the reschedule wouldn't be for 4 weeks. I went to another dentist and asked that Dr. Johary's staff send the x-rays over to the new facility. I requested the transfer of the x-rays twice and they only x-rays they would send over were the ones from 14 month's ago when my mouth was "perfect." They never sent the x-rays that showed the 8 cavities.
The new dentist looked in my mouth and said I didn't have one cavity. NONE! I insisted on new x-rays and they confirmed no cavities. My new dentist said my teeth were and still are "PERFECT." You can imagine I am furious with Dr. Johary. If not for the rescheduled appointment I am confident he was going to drill in my mouth for no reason at all. I stand behind every word in this review and I have the paperwork to prove it.
I do not doubt that all those with great reviews received great service but from my personal experience I believe the negative reviews here are just as accurate. The Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde service provided by Dr. Johary is exactly what I experienced. My first visit with the Dr. was excellent and my google review would have reflected as much. He complimented me on my "perfect" teeth and recommended more flossing for my gums. 14 months later I had a routine cleaning and he came in to examine my teeth. He questioned why it had been so long since my last cleaning and told me I had 8 cavities almost scolding me. He even showed me pictures on a computer monitor of a failed filling supposedly in my mouth that had black rot under it. Unlike my first visit, this visit he was short and impersonal. The proposed bill for the 8 fillings was over $1600.
I have never been so insulted in my life. I had an appointment for an extraction, which my insurance fully covered except a 50.00 deductible. The receptionist Susan refused to accept a check, and even though I only had to pay a small amount, there was no discussion of any options to bill. She did not even ONCE day that she was sorry for any inconvience on my part. I am just going to have to suffer until I can pay with my card. Would not recommend coming here if you have ANY better options. -Joshua Hallmark
Dr Johary and his staff are very courteous and caring!!! I had 8 extractions and was very well taken care of from start to finish!!! Dr Johary made sure I was very numb and I couldn't feel a thing. While extractions can be an unpleasant experience, Dr Johary and his staff made it a pleasant and non traumatic experience. Will definitely refer family and friends!!! Thanks again for taking such good care of me!!!!
