EDIT REPONDING to owner's response: we did try to get in touch to settle bill, starting with Leslie, who stated "don't worry, it will work out when ins pays. You paid your co-pay." At one point, I HAD TO FAX IN MY OWN CLAIMS TO MY INS COMPANY because Leslie said that's the only way to get them to pay! I have 2 ledgers from this office that don't match up. I also have proof of what was paid by me & by ins company. If I go by just what I paid, minus ins discounts, then this office owes me. I Have been TOLD TO LEAVE THIS OFFICE while trying to discuss this account with Rachael, the current Secretary. Linda, a previous Secretary tried to help me, but left before anything happened. MARIA was able to have at least 3 or 4 claims filed that had not been previously filed!
Many people have issues getting comfortable in a doctor's or dentist's office - if you are one of those people, I would suggest visiting Dr Busch (and if you are not one of those people, my suggestion remains the same). Their pricing is pretty decent as well, and they took my dental discount plan (highly recommended if you don't have insurance).
Dr. Busch is a great dentist and her revamped staff is awesome. I had the best dental cleaning I have ever had today by Ann. She had so much attention to detail, most of the time you are just something to be cleaned but she really spent the time to make sure you were truly cleaned. It sounds silly but she is truly a master at her craft. I've lived in gainesville all my life and I swear this is the best dental experiences I have ever had
I'd been putting off a dental visit for quite some time, and decided to get back on track. The office staff was extremely helpful in getting me set up for my first appointment and cleaning, and the reminders were much appreciated! Everyone was extremely nice and very professional when I came in - from the front desk, to the assistants, to the hygienist! No one ever made me feel bad in any way about waiting so long. I ended up needing a crown, which I was extremely reluctant to get. Dr. Busch took a very long time explaining why she chose that treatment for me and what would happen if I didn't get it. I was so impressed that she did that instead of saying that she's the dentist, that's why. She even sent her assistant back in with a model and more info. My only complaint would be that Dr. Busch only does dental procedures one day a week and it isn't a day that I can work around with my job right now. If things ever change with my work schedule, I'd be back in a heartbeat!
And I have the ledger where your office charged us and insurance for a root canal and crown, and a letter from an oral surgeon stating that it was not properly done and could possibly have to extract the tooth. So...if it wasn't done, then somebody filed a claim and charged us...that I believe would be fraud.
I have no problem paying what I owe, but when I add up the numbers and I have already OVERPAID, that is a problem.
My first visit to this office was very pleasant. All the staff was very courteous and friendly. My visit took a bit longer than I expected, but an emergency patient came in while I was there and caused the delay. But, the office staff checked on me every 15 minutes or so to see if I needed anything and to give me an update on timing. I have another appointment coming up and am looking forward to getting my dental health back on track.
I've had two appointments at this office, and both have been great. The staff is very patient and helpful, they're good communicators, and they perform their jobs at a high level. They're professionals, but they don't take themselves so seriously that you feel judged, scrutinized, like a set of teeth, etc.
Terrible bedside manner. Overcharged then does not file claims with insurance and tries to make patients pay. Or does file and tries to make patients pay for the same thing. Also, the crown she put on my husband's tooth, well, it's either going to have to be redone or pulled for not being done properly! And she "won't talk to patients" per one of the many secretaries she has had.would give less stars if I could..
As stated, this office tries to look good. I have all of my papers. And yes I QUIT going there 3 years ago due to improper billing and bad dental work/"bedside" manner.
