I had lunch at Pollo Tropical and it was really good. The 1/2 chicken and one side is 7.09 and $0.80 more for a second side. Good portions at a reasonable price. The line was a bit long, but it moved reasonably fast. Plantains dont count as a side, and I think they should. It's just about the same price as most side items. That was my only complaint. The roll also had no flavor, but that's minor.
Decent amount of places to choose from (Pollo Tropical, Wendy's, Papa John's, Croutons, Panda Express, Starbucks) and the food is pretty good.
Swell location to relax and chill with friends while at UF. The Rietz has several floors, but for the average Joe you just have to worry about the ground and 1st floor. The ground level has a couple of dining establishments like the Wingzone and Subway. It also includes a barber shop and arcade room. The 1st floor features more eateries like Starbucks, Crotons, Panda Express, Wendy's, and Pollo Tropical.
Establishment operations hours needs to be confirm before venturing as they tend to be closed during certain times in the UF academic year. Also to add it's highly suggested to be avoided during student preview weeks, as incoming student would be conjesting the food courts and bookstore with their parents.
Typical college fast food court. Considering the size of the UF student body (~53,000) the arrangement and seating are pretty good. I use the Starbucks for a afternoon coffee.
Long lines, but lots of good fast food, cleaner and better than an average food court, nice views and bright tables. Try tapingo app to beat the lines, recommend croutons for salads and shorter lines
