August 15th and 16 had a t e e heart procedure done everything turned out well all of my medical care has been wonderful with the VA I had heart failure on July 5th 2016 and in August first I came down to Gainesville VA Hospital my heart doctor wanted to do a biopsy on my stomach fat to see if I had a rare heart disease biopsy came back negative staff was wonderful surgeons were excellent was well taken care of the biopsy came back negative so now my cardiologist and my team of doctors are trying to medically reduce my heart failure around when I was in mitad into the VA hospital system on July 5th 2016 they said my heart was only doing 25% now one year later December of 2017 it's doing 44% big shout-out and big hands up to all my team of doctors who help me successfully build my strength back thanks to the VA system of good health care Gainesville VA hospital and also Lake City hospital and the Outpatient Clinic down in Jacksonville Florida all have been taken care of me and given me wonderful wonderful Health Care Service God Bless America and Go Army
Parking is a joke, hope you brought a power scooter to get back to the hospital.
Yes parking is truly a joke here but they needed to use more of the their land space that they owned for more hospital rooms in the new tower section, so something had to go. Unfortunately it was parking places. There is a separate large parking garage and they do have a shuttle that runs back and forth from it to the clinic so you might consider that option rather than the limited covered parking and open handycap parking that is closer to, yet still a long walk to & from the clinic entrance.
The store has small and medium sized, I think most people need at least a 2XL, and few thing to pick from in car decals.
If you have an appointment at 2, then you will get seen some 20 minutes later, or even longer.
why is it so difficult just to talk to your spouse like they ONLY have to call you, i understand the privacy and not giving out patient information for protection but like come on, if your worried you should be able to get to them. - WIFE.
The clinics are all open Monday through Friday daytime the emergency room is open 24 hours
But on the bright side, the staff here go above and beyond duty to help you. Always friendly, kind, helpful and so very respectful of our veteran's and families. Most of the time waiting for your appointment is brief, only a few minutes, but never ever as long as we've had to wait at civilian doctor's offices. If you walk in and look even slightly lost someone will quicly walk up to you and ask politely where you need to go, then either give you detailed directions or even lead you directly there. Wheelchairs are available if you are unable to make the trek on you own. It is a very large complex area to navigate so we really appreciate this. I know other VA hospitals and clinics around the country have been in the news and under attack for certain reasons but never have we been treated badly or disrespected here.
