This was the most pleasant and clean place I have stayed in a long time. I would love to have hi-jacked one of their beds and pillows and tied it to the car but I didn't figure I could get away with it. VERY COMFORTABLE and very friendly staff. Oh did I say great pool.
I recently attended a church meeting at the Holiday Inn University Center Gainesville. We were in a conference room on the second floor. The holiday Inn provided catering for the meeting which included several tasty options (including chicken, meatballs, pita chips and hummus). My only complaint would be that there was no good items containing vegitables (but there were at least vegetarian items, just not actual vegetables). There was plenty of food for everyone and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room easily sat our group of about 50 people comfortably and everything about it was pleasant including the temperature, acoustics, etc.
I had an unpleasant experience. Checked into a two queen room with 3 people. Was given two vouchers for breakfast. When my wife went to the desk to request another voucher for the third guest Adrian denied her request. He was less than courteous. At $225 per night you would think they would not discriminate against some paying guests, and we are Holiday Inn Platinum members, NOT ANY MORE! Back to being Hilton brand loyal. At the Hilton's Hampton Inn all guests are invited to their food. Not very as clean as the reviews indicate, most especially the staircases are as bad as an intercity parking garage.
It was a lovely hotel. Beds were comfortable. Refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave was provided as a well as a TV. The staff was very helpful and very kind.
It's in a good location by a lot of restaurants. There is an Italian restaurant in the lobby. Breakfast is not included but there is a grocery store nearby. The room is nice and clean but a little on the older side.
